Manage IE Mode in Edge
1. To manage websites that open in IE mode, you will need to install the Enterprise Mode Site List Manager from Microsoft. You can download from this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49974
2. Once installed you will need to import the current version of the IE mode site list. It is located here: \\brp-awssccm\sources$\Applications\msEdge_xml
NOTE: The site list manager will always your previous list you are working, so to ensure you are working on the latest site list, ALWAYS import the XML located in the location above by first choosing "clear list" and then "bulk add from file".
3. Modifying the list is very simple. The add, Edit and delete buttons are all in the bottom left of the program.
1. To add a site, simply hit add, and copy and paste the url into the box that appears. Leave all settings as default, and save.
2. To edit a site, simply select the site and hit the edit button. Then modify the settings you want and save.
3. To Delete a site, simply select a site and hit delete.
NOTE: Some sites use redirect sites even when navigating their main website. These redirect sites will often times need to be added too, or else the link might break. Example: XYZ.com might redirect to ABC.com before returning you to XYZ.com again when clicking on a tool. But if XYZ.com is on the site list, and ABC.com is not, it will get stuck trying to load ZYX.com. So both XYZ.com and ABC.com will need to be added.
4. After making your modifications, simply go to file>save to XML and replace the current xml file in \\brp-awssccm\sources$\Applications\msEdge_xml with your new file. This is where the GPO pulls from.
5. In Edge > Go to edge://compat/enterprise > Click Force Update
6. Verify the site appears in that list. If not, escalate to DeX team
