How to Create a SharePoint Site
This guide will guide you on how to create a SharePoint site via EAC.
Note: This guide will also provide instructions on how to simultaneously create a Teams group and a SharePoint site (Microsoft 365 group).

Colleagues should always be advised to submit a formal request for SharePoint creation using the link provided: https://brp.freshservice.com/support/catalog/items/358
Required information:
- Name of the group:
- Type of creation: SharePoint or Teams Group (this will also include a SharePoint).
- Privacy Options
- If they allow external users to join the SharePoint site.
- Owners
Here are the steps:
20 STEPS
1. First, make sure you're on Exchange admin center.
Click Microsoft 365
2. Click Add a group.
3. Make sure Microsoft 365 is selected then click Next.
4. Enter group name.
5. Click Next.
6. Click Assign owners.
7. Enter the Owners' names.
NOTE: Add your admin account as one of the owners if colleague wants both a Teams group and a SharePoint site created.
8. Check the box next to Owners' names.
9. Click Next.
10. Click Next.
11. Click Add members.
12. Enter members' names.
13. Click Next
14. Click Next.
15. Enter group email address. You can use the group's name without any space in between.
16. Next, select the Sensitivity.
Internal Only if this SharePoint is meant for personal use only
External Sharing Allowed if colleagues would like to add external users to this SharePoint.
17. Make sure uncheck the "Create a team for this group" box if you want a SharePoint site created only
Check unless colleague wants a SharePoint and Teams channel created.
18. Click Next.Preview & Finish
19. Click here
20. That's it. You're done.
